The 29th ABA Annual Meeting will be June 8-12, 2010 at the Holiday Inn Suites in Bloomington, Minnesota. Plan now to attend and take the opportunity to enjoy old friends, establish news ones and have a relaxing time with fellow collectors.

Once the link opens to the Holiday Inn & Suites website, you need ONLY ENTER the date of arrival and departure and then CLICK – CHECK AVAILABILITY – there is no need to enter any further information so as to ensure that your group rate populates to the assigned rooms in the group block the convention has reserved. If you should have any problems or questions feel free to call Linda Dragt at 952-876-8659 during 7am-4pm (M-F) for assistance (sometimes if a particular room type preference is requested and those are all reserved from your block we can add more to accommodate).  If you prefer to make your reservations via telephone, you can call 1-800-465-4329 and reference the group name or code (BRE) to ensure the discounted rates.



Meeting Schedule
Tuesday, June 8
1:00 to 4:00 p.m.—Early Bird Collection Tours—Members in the Bloomington/Twin Cities will open up their homes and collections to members. Lineup will be announced in spring. Limited to 50 people.

3:00 p.m.—Registration and hospitality room opens.

5:00 p.m.—Silent Auction opens—Scott and Ann Reinhart will conduct the 6th Annual ABA Silent Auction.

7:00 p.m.—President’s reception hosted by Len and Kay Chylack.

Wednesday, June 9
10:00 to 5:00 p.m.—Twin Cities Day Trip.

Drive-by viewing of the cities breweries of yesteryear. Lunch at Glueks Bar and Restaurant, located in the Minneapolis warehouse district. Mill City Museum—Mill City Museum chronicles the story of the flour milling industry that flourished in Minneapolis, MN

Thursday, June 10
8:00 a.m.—Annual ABA Business Meeting . . . all members encourage to attend.

11:00 to 4:00 p.m.—Travel to St Paul. Visit Summit Brewing company, enjoy a catered lunch at Summit. We will also a stop at Flat Earth Brewing Company.

Summit Brewery opened for business in 1986, it was the brainchild of St Paul beer lover Mark Stutrud. Mark had one goal, to bring back the remarkable craft beers once brewed throughout the Upper Midwest. In 1998, Summit Brewery Company built the first new brewery Minnesota had seen in over 100 years, they currently operate out of that brewery today.

In 2007, Flat Earth Brewing Company was brought to life by head brewer Jeff William- son and his wife Cathie. Flat Earth Brewery produces a variety of artisan ales and lagers.

Friday, June 11
Times to be Announced at a later Date
Museum Foundation Meeting—Annual update on the National Brewery Museum and Library. Educational Seminars and “Show & Tell”

Crowns and Coaster Swap—Get together to swap coaster/crown or other stuff. Hosted by Bob Burr and Scott Reich.

Second Annual Wine Social—Hosted by Pat Boyer.

Saturday, June 12
8:30 a.m.-2 p.m.—Public buy-sell-trade show—Giant raffle starts at 1 p.m.

3:00 p.m.—Full Beer Bottle Swap. Bring a six pack to a case of fresh local craft beers and trade for an equal number of bottles. Hosts: Scott and Ann Reinhart, Paul and Nancy Rahne and Ted and Martha Shuler.

6:30 p.m.—Annual Awards Buffet Dinner. Cost $35.00 for adults. Children under 17 years of age Free.
